Raspberry Jam with White Rum and Lime Juice
Humphrey Bogart's character in 'To Have and Have Not' (1944) was based on Joe Russell, owner of "Sloppy Joe's" bar in Havana. The bar was famous for its regular and frozen daiquiri's, and the drink was said to be named after a small town on the east coast of Cuba.
The Daiquiri is handmade in small batches and is quite lovely smothered on hot buttered toast, croissants, scones and teacakes. The Daiquiri also works really well as a cake filling, in jam tarts or even drizzled on ice cream! All our batches are made using only Bacardi White Rum.
